Warnings

As always with anything having to do with rooting your smartphone or flashing a custom ROM on it, please make note that we aren’t responsible for any damage to your device. Always make sure to back-up your information, make sure your device is compatible, and follow the instructions properly.
This currently only works on the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300. To check to see if your device is compatible, head to Settings > About Device > Model Number

Before you start

Before attempting any of the installation, make sure that you have all the Samsung drivers installed on your computer and that the USB Debugging option is enabled on your device. If you haven’t done so already, head to Settings > Developer Options in order to enable it. If you don’t have access to Developer Options yet, go to Settings > About Device and click on the Build Numbera few times to enable it.
Of course, in order to flash any ROMs, your Samsung Galaxy S3 will need to be rooted and have a recovery software already installed (such as TWRP or ClockworkMod).

Steps to Follows

  • Connect your S3 to the computer and copy both zip files (ROM and Gapps) to your device
  • Turn off your phone.
  • Enter Recovery (Volume Up + Home + On / Off) mode. In this mode you can navigate using the volume buttons and agree with the power button.
  • Select "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard". Select the ROM file.
  • Once finished, repeat the process by selecting the file with Gapps.
  • Restart your smartphone via "reboot system now".
That’s it, that’s all. If you’ve followed along properly, you should now have Android 4.4.2 on your Samsung Galaxy S3 via NeatROM. For any questions about bugs or anything else related to the installation process, make sure to check out the XDA Developers Forum post as many users have already solved many of the issues presented.
If you’ve installed it, how did it go for you and how do you like Android 4.4.2 on your S3?
